Sporting Skills at Mt Pleasant School

Sporting skills at Mount Pleasant Public School!

This week, we had several students represent our school in sporting competitions.
On Monday 1st of April, 5 of our senior boys went to the soccer knock out competition held at Alroy Park. Sam Geelan, Mitchell Shoemark, Charlie Campbell, Will Schaefer and Campbell Nott joined with boys from Broke Public School and Kirkton Public School, forming a small schools team that played King Street P.S. on the day. Unfortunately, the boys were not successful in winning on the day but are to be congratulated for their sportsmanship and their determination on the day. They showed some great skill on the field and Miss Arvanitis was very proud of their efforts.

On Tuesday 2^nd April Will, Charlie, Sarah, Ashley and Montana attended the Upper Hunter Zone Touch Football trails at Civic Park, Singleton.  Will and Charlie played three games in a team with 4 other students winning one of their games.  Sarah, Ashley and Montana won two of their three games.  Sarah was selected to play in the possibles and probables although was not selected for Hunter.  All children showed great sportsmanship skills and enjoyed their day of touch.
